Together, we’ll mobilize a new generation of democracy defenders to take on far-right youth groups like Turning Point USA.

Job Description:

Dream for America is seeking a Social Media Coordinator Fellowship who is enthusiastic about audience growth and organic content creation. DFA creates videos and social media content that promotes civil rights, liberal democracy, and progressive values. The Social Media Coordinator Fellow will be responsible for supporting our digital team, assisting with developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy to enhance our social media presence, engage our audience, and drive our mission forward.

This role seeks a talented candidate who excels in brand messaging, persuasive copywriting, social platform management, and creator management. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing multiple projects at once.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Coordinator Fellow will report to the Director of Communications and execute a content strategy for the organization
  • Oversee the content vertical that falls under the umbrella of digital, including gathering the content from the digital team including the graphic designers, video editors, and platform fellows.
  • Led the organization of social media content, as well as producing content when needed to accomplish our content goals and metrics
  • Manage social media accounts on a day-to-day basis and identify opportunities for engagement
  • Execute a thoughtful content strategy across all platforms that aligns with the campaign’s core strategic imperatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience producing social media content with a focus on vertical formats
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team or crew
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Willing to create front-facing/influencer content weekly on different/relevant topics
