Position: Southeast Regional Organizing Director
Location: Remote; Located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas
Overview: The Southeast Regional Organizing Director will play a pivotal role in driving regional organizing efforts under the guidance of the National Organizing Director and Deputy National Organizing Director. This role involves overseeing organizing activities across designated regions, collaborating closely with regional staff, and spearheading initiatives to strengthen our grassroots presence. The Regional Organizing Director will be instrumental in expanding our regional footprint, fostering the growth of local chapters, and cultivating a dynamic community of dedicated volunteers and advocates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the National Organizing Director and Deputy National Organizing Director to implement and refine regional organizing strategies aligned with national goals.
- Provide strategic direction and support to regional staff and directors to ensure effective execution of campaign objectives.
- Develop innovative approaches to recruit, train, and empower a diverse volunteer base across the region.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of regional events, including voter registration drives and community engagement activities.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in grassroots organizing or political campaigns, preferably at a regional or statewide level.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of motivating and managing teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel within the region as required.
